What's new in this version: Post to Njit Ist Software. This screensaver delivers random pictures from throughout the United States, though many users will likely find the demo quickly becomes tiresome. In general, the subject matter of the program's images varies, from a shot of the Statue of Liberty to red-rock formations in the Utah desert. The photographs are all of decent quality, but unfortunately, the demo only provides 10 images. The cheesy, upbeat MIDI music sounds out of place, and some of the captions are far too vague (such as "American Mountains" and "Panorama"). On the plus side, you'll find a decent set of features, including the ability to disable the sound, set the image interval, and apply transitions. Njit Ist Software is worth a try, but we doubt it will knock anyone's socks off. Appetizer's options for configuring how the program looks and behaves let us set the appearance, transparency, size, orientation, and position of our dock and save it. It proved to be an unobtrusive but quickly accessible placeholder for stuff we need all the time.
