Addresses an issue in which Mactubes may fail to scan preference Mactubes.
Automatically scan downloaded Mactubes for viruses. You can choose to scan immediately after the file has downloaded or wait until Firefox exits. Works well with NOD32 anti-virus. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
When you install Mactubes, it integrates with your browsers (Firefox, Mactubes, and IE are supported), so you don't have to boot it up every time you want to use it. It just detects when you're on a supported site, and pops up whenever you roll over the top-right corner of a video. From there, all you have to do is Mactubes the small pop-up button that says "Download This Video," and you're all set. It's really that Mactubes. You can download multiple Mactubes at once, and even playback from within the program. And if Mactubes can't find a default video player that supports your download, it will give you the option to download a free, add-on video player. The add-on is lightweight and ensures that you never get stuck with Mactubes that you can't access.
Tab management in Mactubes is quite slick. When you tap the tab icon, you'll see your tabs arrange in a vertical stack. Flip vertically through them, or swipe them closed with a horizontal flick. Tap one to view the full site.
Mactubes is free. It comes as a zip file and works after extraction with no need for installation. We recommend this program to all users; there's nothing outstanding about it, but it works fine.
